A prestigious publishing brand with global recognition, Rizzoli is an imprint of European publisher RCS. To rebrand the Italian imprint, we started by giving them an elegant new logo, then created a detailed style guide for company-wide implementation. Over a period of ten years, we designed the majority of the imprint’s hardcover book jackets, breathing new life into the genre and distinguishing Rizzoli’s offerings in a market known for its staid design sensibility. In addition to partnering with Rizzoli in Italy, Mucca worked with Rizzoli in New York on several projects, including an internationally successful cookbook series, and various special book covers.
Mucca’s partnership with Rizzoli helped increase its brand visibility and sales, allowing the company to become a market leader. With an output of more than 200 books a year on our shelves, we might have to rent new office space to store them all.
